UPDATE: We’ve gotten pretty solid confirmation that this is the same Arkham set that they used for Begins. We suspected this. I guess the only question left is: Was the person who took this hinting that it would be reused for Rises?

A photo popped up on the JoBlo forums today of what appears to be the set for Arkham Asylum in The Dark Knight Rises. The poster says, “my good mate who is working on set at cardington where it’s being shot sent me this.” Not quite sure how legit this is, but we’re figured it’s worth a share. Perhaps it’s just a left over set from Batman Begins? Read the full story below to see the full image.

That’s the exact same set in Cardington that they used for Batman Begins. Remember they never tore those sets down. So this says absolutely nothing. They just snapped a picture of an existing set that has been there for 6 years.

that’s because they didn’t shoot that part. You do know when they build a set they don’t necessarily shoot the entire thing?

Hm. I don’t like this.

Nolan runs a tight, tight ship. His lips are sealed too. His hype machine is amazing, and if stuff starts leaking, even this, it will make TDKR less exciting when it comes out. I’m going to stay blind and deaf to leaked material. If Nolan doesn’t want it out there, I don’t want to know of it. I want to be as surprised as possible.

Even if this is a photo of the Batman Begins set, it’s pretty exciting if that photo was indeed taken recently. It makes sense that they’d reuse some of the old sets.

Even Inception had some leaked stuff here and there, it was never anything major, but I wouldn’t be too worried.

The biggest thing that Inception had leaked was the major cast’s names and a few (well…a lot…but nothing major was revealed by them) outdoor paparazzi photos.

Having just watched the Arkham scene in Batman Begins, I can assure everybody this is definitely nothing new — however, there is confirmation that the set is still standing, so if this photo is in fact newly shot, then we could officially declare this as the first set photo. Unless it gets dismissed soon. I’d like to think this is legit — let’s us all know that, IT’S COMING!

Guys there is a big hint in this photo that this is the Arkham set from Batman Begins. In the movie prisoners escape from Arkham in Ra’s attempt to destroy Gotham and there is a scene where the prisoners blow up part of a wall out side Arkham. Hence the partially destroyed wall at the bottom right of the picture that has the same outline as the one in Batman Begins.

Looks like the photo was taken with an iPhone. If I recall, iPhones weren’t in existence during the time BATMAN BEGINS was being filmed. I’d say this is a recent photo.
