Person of Interest TV Pilot Moves Forward at CBS

J.J. Abrams and Jonah Nolan.

The 1-hour Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams television pilot, titled Person of Interest, is finally moving forward at CBS. The national network won a bidding war for the rights to the pilot towards the end of last year. Now according to MyEntertainmentWorld, production on the pilot is set to begin near the end of February in New York City. Abrams and his partner Bryan Burk will produce via their production company Bad Robot. As the series creator, Jonathan Nolan will be writing the teleplay for the pilot. This is his first foray into writing for the small screen after writing for the large on films like The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Given that production will be getting into gear in a matter of weeks, we could hear about casting and other related news about the show soon. J.J. is currently in production directing Super 8, and Jonah is trying to get his script for Hell and Gone into production over at Warner Bros. Thanks to Bueller in the forums for the tip.
