Inception Tops Box Office For 3rd Week In A Row

For the 3rd week in a row now, Christopher Nolan’s Inception has stolen the number one spot at the weekend box office. Pulling in an impressive $27.5 million over the weekend, the sci-fi thriller managed to beat out new-comer Dinner for Schmucks, which earned a decent $23.5 million. With only a 35% drop-off from the previous week, Inception is proving to have longer legs than your run-of-the-mill summer action movie. Positive word-of-mouth and a still prominent media campaign is pushing the film closer and closer to the $200 million mark. And with a US total of $193.3 million, it’s not far off!

Even more impressively, Inception‘s worldwide tally is racing towards the $400 million mark with an estimated $364 million in total. How many times have you seen Inception in theaters?

Ive seen it 3 times and plan on seeing it at least 1 more time ( free ticket with Insomnia blu ray ^_^) Ya, I LOVE this film, and would love nothing more than to support nolan, but 8 times in the theatre is a lil much. And beyond expensive.

Sure it’s the same movie, but each time I see it I catch something new every time.

And, I have a life. I’m perfectly fine spending money on this film when all of my needs are meet. There’s nothing wrong with a healthy obsession, we all have them.

Seen it 5x so far and going to my 3rd Imax experience this Friday. Catching new stuff every time. Last time I watched it, I caught a little line Dom says that previously flew under my radar: “I don’t like trains.” Listen for it.

Anybody know the status of the Imax theater in Nashville? It is the best ever.

I’ve seen it twice now. However, over here in Cyprus, the monopoly of Cineplex cinemas has moved Inception from the main Screen 1s to Screen 2s after ONLY one WEEKs showing…which is what they do when they expect higher takings for a new release. I wouldn’t have expected them to move the film so early. Guess what replaces it on the top spot? ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘Toy Story 3 3D’ which I guess would be to attract the holiday crowds. However, I did notice at the weekend that the nobody turned up for ‘Grown Ups’, while the queue was for Inception!

here in germany the film is running tomorrow for a week. i saw it 3 times in theaters and at the weekend again Just great, the theaters here are sold out almost every day. INCEPTION deseves it, awesome movie!

does anyone else feel like the mombasa scene is a large part of what drew you back to the threatre. when cobb is being chased down that alley…………..those suits that are chasing him , especially the guy with black hair are somehow more terrifying than any cgi could ever be

Saw it yesterday, because i spent my vacation in spain and came back yesterday. It was beyond amazing, and it was sold out, it’s out for one week now in germany.
I plan to watch it again in english. Got to love that movie.
