“Is It Real?” A Sit Down With The Stars of Inception

Posted on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 1:06 am by TeddyBlass

With Inception officially in theaters and IMAX here in the US, a lot of the upcoming news stories will likely focus on it’s performance at the Box-Office and what not. We thought this would be a good time (while it’s available to us) to go ahead and post some more fun (and essentially fluff) videos for everyone to enjoy. This particular video is of James Rocchi of MSN Movies talking with the stars and director of Inception about keeping it real in an unreal world. Check it out. Hopefully it holds you over until your next viewing of the film in theaters:

This movie is just incredible,(And that’s an extreme understatement). Favorite movie of all time, (Until Christopher Nolan’s next film of course ;) ), but who knows? Maybe this will still be better than that. I can totally see that being the case. Also, if this doesn’t win for best picture at the Oscars, or if it doesn’t win for best director, I’m officially never watching The Academy Awards ever again. That will just prove to me that the whole thing is rigged.

@EMIRC Copy that! I too would boycott Oscars untill Chris Nolan gets one (really, just one he deserves??)

And I’ve never seen such a deep love story, in my last seven lives !!!

The way his films deal with emotions…., I’m completely speechless even after watching this one for two times in last 20 hours!

i’v been waiting for this movie for two years, and today im not disappointed, Inception is pure art, masterpiece, Nolan is the best!

The movie is a pleasant combo of The Dark Knight, Shutter Island, The Matrix, and Dark City, with psychological (and philosophical) intensity a la Nolan.
Simply put, it’s a sad story about two men (“Cobb” & “Saito”) who choose to “live forever” in a realm made possible by future technology.

Congratulations. I’ll be adding this to other favorite films (Matrix, Mulholland Drive and The Fight Club). What I loved about this one specially was the great cast (not just Leo). They each made sense, had their weight, looked real and on top of that were very cool. I also love the subject which I find extremely interesting. I always remember my dreams and they feel very real to me. They are real in my head and the fact that your subconscious mixes stuff that you’ve seen that day or experienced (so real stuff) with things that you wish for or fear is what makes them feel real. Many times I’ve realised the solution to a problem or I have understood what I really wanted by analizing my dreams. In that sense films are that way too which is why I love them, although in their case you live the director’s dream.
