Posted on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:43 pm by George

As audience members took their seats at the Los Angeles premiere of Inception Tuesday night, Hans Zimmer and a team of performers waited to perform a short concert featuring score from the film. The concert was streamed live online, but for those of you who missed it (or would like to experience it again) the video below offers a seven minute assortment of interviews and all twenty minutes of the concert:

Ah, great soundtrack. Seems too strong and forceful but haven’t seen the film to know if it fits in well

WOW… I have to say I like these versions of the pieces more than the recorded versions, and that’s saying A LOT! Hans is a genius.

  • EMIRC-DNIM

Incredible, absolutely incredible. The almighty Hans has outdone himself again. This movie is gonna’ be more than I ever hoped it could be :)

It felt like if I was at a Pink Floyd concert (my favorite band), this is great, absolutely masterful piece of art, wow, I’m blown away. This movie is going to be something really special.

Such a wonderful performance. The Inception soundtrack is absolutely one of my top 3 or 4 soundtracks of the year so far.

  • EMIRC-DNIM

@rashad28, yeah same here. Except it’s at the TOP of my top 3 or 4 soundtracks of the year! (Meaning it’s number 1 :) ). The others are Shutter Island, Toy Story 3, and Despicable Me.

  • EMIRC-DNIM

Oh and The Book of Eli, how the f**k did I forget that!? Such an underated movie score, absolutely phenomenal.

Totally mindblowing awesome OST. Hans rocks big time. and this is true to me too that I liked the live version much more than the recorded version somehow (or maybe I should get the full quality CD rather than mp3s :) ). and by the way that part where that woman in red/puple dress plays the cello is missing in the recorded version. anyone any idea about that? i was totally blown away by it but got disappointed not fining it on the recorded version.

And yes @EMIRC-DNIM, completely agree about The Book of Eli OST, it was one hell of fantastic OST. the second favorite of mine from this year after Inception.

    Hi,
It’s truly better than the recorded Soundtrack (I’ve listened to both more than 10 times).
I tried downloading the video using Realplayer, but the file can not be played.
Any Idea how we can get the video?
    Thanks
