Not a good director, but not a bad one either. He was on the right track with the Harry Potter movies before Alfonso Cuaron ruined the series.

It’ll be interesting to say who they do pick, though. I think Nolan said he wasn’t able to see a way in because the Superman story is brighter and more straightforwardly heroic. Hopefully that wouldn’t tip it too much in the direction of a Chris Columbus or whoever.

Hmmm. George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh helped produce Insomnia. Clooney would be an interesting choice as director. He’s solid, and there’s certainly an often-present retro sensibility to his stuff that might suit the material.

Guys, he will not be the director. There is an 11.78% chance he will oversee this project. This is just a rumor going around. I mean, honestly, do you think they’d let the guy who directed The first two Harry Potter films direct a movie attached with David S. Goyer (Did the screenplay for Dark Knight, among other great films.), and Christopher Nolan (Do I have to tell you what this man has directed?). Come on bro’s, do the math.
