I can’t wait to see the part when JGL and the mysterious black guy go at it in whatever environment that is. Elevator i guess? idk. but I’ve been waiting for this movie since August when the teaser came out so I’m pretty stoked. 3 WEEKS!!

I was about to ask that question in the forums today, but instead did my own research.

65mm sequences will NOT be shown in full screen IMAX, as they shot on 5 perf 65mm, which has a native aspect of 2.2:1.

The IMAX 70mm used for TDK was at an aspect of 1.43:1, hence the ratio change during those sequences.

However, the 70mm IMAX print for INCEPTION will actually make use of the extra image quality provided by the 65mm original negative.

Traditional 35mm film and digital cinemas will merely get a ‘downscaled’ version of the 65mm sequences.

Summary: See it in IMAX. It will be awesome!
