I hit upon what I think is David Goyers approach and I don't believe it is the 'Unbreakable' approach that some people have said. A Superman film where he doesn't know he is Superman discovering powers etc. That story has been done as has the Bryan Singer approach which was to sort of remake and honour the Dick Donner version, which is still the definitive version of Superman in film at least. The way I theorise that Goyer and Nolan will approach the next SUPERMAN film is by 1)treating it and shooting it like the two Batman films, real world setting, Metropolis yes, but a real city standing in for it and not a CGI city, Gotham is actually Chicago in the Batman films. 2) Being true to the original spirit and purity of the character and what he represents. 3) Alex Ross Kingdom Come approach from the point of view that Superman has been around for a long time and is a much older man now. The Comic came out in 1938, what if Goyer has in mind that Superman arrived on Earth in 1938, fought crime and saved the world throughout the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's and is now retired because he in some ways is out of date and touch with the complexity of the noughties? He ages slower than the rest of us so although he isnt as young as he was, Lois Lane, Perry White, all the people he knew have died and he is all alone. Maybe Jimmy Olsen is the only one left but old obviously. I think based on Alex Ross's work and this approach to a Superman film, from questioning his mortality, where he fits in etc is a way in which a Superman film has NEVER been done before and one that I believe could work. What does anyone else think? Could this have been something that Goyer and Nolan discussed?

Superman needs to start production by end of 2011, so, my guess is it might be first.

B3 won't be in 3D if Nolan has any part of the project.

My hopes is that B3 comes out before Superman does.
