Also, if it's 65mm I assume it'll pretty much look like the IMAX images in Dark Knight with the lack of black bars at the top and bottom of the screens?? Or am I thinking of this wrong?

Erm, so why didn't my fellow Londoner just choose to shoot the whole film on 65 mm since it's so much more convenient???? Nolan clearly doesn't give a damn about 3D and obviously views it as gimmicky shit, which it is. I'm a massive fan of large format filmmaking and even though there is virtually little difference between 65 and 70mm, I can't help but think it's a slight step back for Nolan, technology wise. 65mm should be much easier to handle than IMAX so I don't get why he isn't using it for every scene.

@Eternalist
I think it was invented by Paramount and was used by Alfred Hitchcock alot with his films. I don't know the exact details of it sorry.

I think Nolan is just trying to not shit on Warner Bros cause they're the driving force behind the new post-conversion 3D movement.

I love Nolan's interviews; he's very articulate and knows exactly what he needs for his films. Inception is going to be amazing.
