Many of the actors in Memento said the much of the same thing about how they didn’t understand it. I think Leo is exaggerating for humour.

South Land Tales and I Heart Huckabees were convoluted messes from directors with questionable success on previous films. Nolan on the other hand has a great track record at making complicated films that are critical and commercial successes.

In short, if anyone and weave a complicated and confusing film that will satisfy critics and audiences and make sense when it opens in theater’s, Nolan’s the guy to pull it off.

That’s rather worrying mind that the cast have no idea what the film is about. The last two films I watched where the cast were clueless about the film were Southland Tales and I Heart Huckabees.
Not very good films either.

Just a clarification: the “Inquirer” is not the same as the tabloid magazine “National Enquirer”. The “Inquirer’ is a legitimate major Philippine daily newspaper that reports world events, local politics, world entertainment and local(Philippine) entertainment news and not a tabloid at all like its almost namesake, the tabloid “The National Enquirer”. The writer, Ruben Napales, is the foreign correspondent for the “Inquirer” and is based in Los Angeles. He is also a member, I think, of the Hollywood Foreign Press association, the group that gives out the Gloden Globe awards.

The interview with Leonardo Dicaprio is excellent.
