It first appeared in front of prints of Sherlock Holmes on Christmas in movie theaters across the US, but now the 2nd domestic trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception is finally online, and in High Definition!

Anyone know who the actor pushing DiCaprio into the tub of water is? or even the character that he plays??
Btw, i think maybe that might be a way to wake DiCaprio out of a sleep that he is in. Maybe a dream world/experiment went wrong and that’s the quickest way or fail proof method to get him out….just a thought.
Just thought of something. Everyone has been speculating whether Dicaprio is representing Nolan in the film correct?
But watch the trailer. It’s useless in plot info. But why not relate the voiceovers and clips to reality.
‘An Idea’ could refer to Nolans idea of Inception. The rest of the vocieover can be put into clues but i’ll leave that for yet.
Then the clip ‘ Never re-create from your memory, always imagine new places’. Possible Nolans message to say don’t think of this film as any other. It’s fresh.
After that ‘He’s hiding something and we need to find out what that is’. Could mean, Nolan’s hiding something about Inception. Or shall we say everything.
That’s all i can find. Lol pretty crazy, but ‘could it be’? Who know’s.
isi123: very good thoughts It’s like when Aldo Raine at the and of Inglorious Basterds says, that “I think this is my masterpiece”, and I’m sure we can say that that is what Tarantino thinks of IB too. So it’s interesting what you say
If you look closer on the clip with ken watanabe you can see that he is lying in a bed (probably he slept there some few seconds earlier). Around his hand is a white string like he was beeing waked up by somone pulling in it. A way to get out of the dream perhaps? Like when Leo is pushed into the water.
In the end of the trailer some girl (Ellen Page or Marion Cotillard) is screaming: “Wake me up, Wake me up”, So i definetly thinks that this movie is about dreams.
1. Trailer = Insane !!!
2. This movie cannot and will not flop in any way whatsoever (In fact after viewing this trailer, I’m convinced that this movie will be the most talked about movie of 2010).
Yes that is clearly Cillian Murphy that DiCaprio is talking to. at :59 I’m not sure. I thought it was too but upon closer inspection im starting to doubt it…but im not sure.
does anybody know what kind of spinning top is used in the film and where I could possibly get one? I would really really like one but I have a feeling its a one of kind/made for the film kinda deal…
Seems to be a lot of water in this movie.
-Cup of water tilting
-Rain on the train plowing through the streets
-Leo falling into and getting out of a bathtub full of water
-Water bursting into a temple looking room
Yeah..Michael Caine is in the left of the screen…Something tells me that he appears in the african part of the movie..just by watching the setting of the scene..
But the scene that for me is full of questions besides the screaming of “!Wake me up!” is the one where Leo is thrown away to the tub?…what do you think about it?
the voice screaming ‘wake me up” sounds like ellen page having a nightmare in her dream.. if that makes any sense:)
i dont think that scene with leo falling back into the tub had anything to do with any
dream sequence as such.. doenst he have his hands handcuffed in that scene?
i guess that was more to do with the bad guys trying to torture him
Leo isn’t handcuffed when he is falling back into the tub, he has some sort of IV/string attached to him (like all those people in the beds in that grungy looking place in Trailer 2) and i believe pushing him into the tub will wake him out of a dream or out of someone elses. Maybe the IVs have something to do with entering minds….
Did anyone notice that the whole cast is wearing what appears to be the same kind of watch on their left hand? In the beginning of the trailer Cobb has one sleeve rolled down hiding the watch and in the first trailer it has the watch counting down to 12. The IV’s look like the technology to enter the dreams, and they are on the same hand as the watch.

Water is a common film technique to convey different moods and motifs. Water also has the connotation with rebirth, or new beginning..a la inception.
