With only three days left until the second Inception trailer comes out, we’ve found a little easter egg in Inception’s first viral marketing game, Mind Crime. It seems like a few of our forum members have found this almost simultaneously. One of our members, tatebattista, emailed me at about the same time that apw posted this on the forums. From what we know, it seems like this new poster can only be found by playing Mind Crime from a link to an already created maze.
UPDATE (5/8/2010): With the launch of the new Inception website, a new super-high-quality version of this poster was released. Enjoy thoroughly.

Nolan Fans, first place to always get the news. I like this site, I like it.
on December 21, 2009 at 3:02 pm
I prefer the other poster tbh, not too fussed on this one.
on December 21, 2009 at 3:03 pm
It has probably been there for a week and we didn’t find it. Doh!
The font used the names makes them looks a bit squashed. I’m sure they look better once we get a larger version of the poster.
on December 21, 2009 at 3:06 pm
Hahahah, yea. WB and Nolan probably read the articles and were laughing their butts off on how nobody found the other poster. Sneaky bastards.
on December 21, 2009 at 3:10 pm
If this is what is in the saved mazes, I say we create a ton of mazes on facebook. How many can you do?
on December 21, 2009 at 3:14 pm
I tried another maze that someone created and it just gave me the same poster.
on December 21, 2009 at 3:18 pm
I think there will be more stuff. The game looks like something more, right? Would like to know what it means tho

This is the best site ever. Wery quick news, and only two days to new inception trailer. Wow
on December 22, 2009 at 4:48 pm
I’m surprised Watanabe is listed so high in the credits. I thought it was more of a heard-but-not-seen villain role.
on December 22, 2009 at 4:59 pm
I hear he has a very evil grin in the trailer.

But What a rush, this will be mindblowing, and another great Nolan movie,
on December 23, 2009 at 1:27 pm
i cant recall a movie being marketed like inception…the movie is still 7 months away from being released, and warner bros are keeping the public’s mouth watering and looking forward to the release with all this ellaborate marketing ploy….
definately a tease..:)
on December 23, 2009 at 3:55 pm
I don’t think its the marketing, its more of Chris Nolan’s name stamped on it that is making it good.
on December 24, 2009 at 3:38 am
This was out earlier than the 21st and it can be found in places other than the Mind Crime game. My local movie theater has had this poster up for over a week now!
on December 24, 2009 at 4:29 am
i guess with a budget of $200 million they can afford to do a little more innovative publicity ahead of the release .
certainly looks like Chris Nolan has a more creative eye than most of the directors .
on December 24, 2009 at 5:57 am
I just did a maze on the Mind Crime site, and when the safe opens, the top is spinning inside. weird.
