Until earlier this week, we’ve been completely lost in the dark when it comes to details concerning Christopher Nolan’s Inception. While we are still, very much, lost in the dark, we are starting to see the first rays of light transverse the horizon.
Inception has been filming in Paris all this week and we’ve been hit with a tidal wave of photos. One image, in particular, is a shot of a Call Sheet for the cast. Bonus: it lists character names. Ellen Page is Ariadne, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Arthur, Tom Hardy is Eames, Ken Watanabe is Saito, Dileep Rao is Yusef, Cillian Murphy is Fischer, Tom Berenger is Browning. Leo DiCaprio’s name is missing from the list, but we’re assuming that the name Cobb refers to him. The name Cobb is listed in the first cast slot and character slot.

Maybe they replaced Leo with a Cobb salad. Just a bunch of talented actors interacting with a Cobb salad.
That would certainly blow (the architecture of) my mind.
O boy.
Sorry.
I felt like making bad jokes today.

they are some unusual first names.
on August 19, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Well Cobb is the bad guy from Following.

(I took the picture)

@rbevanx yup. I guess Chris likes the name.
@sneeker thanks!

I’m sure it’s Leo’s charachter, only someone who wrote that document made a mistake. I like Murphy’s charachter-name “Fischer” the most!

[...] Greet BoxIt seems that Dileep Rao is a member of the Inception cast, according to a call sheet that Nolan Fans got a look at. He was perhaps the only bright spot in Drag Me to Hell. He’s also got a role [...]

Awesome! I already uploaded Ariadne to IMDb about a week ago so maybe it will come up quicker.
on August 19, 2009 at 4:14 pm
What do you mean you “uploaded”? Are you an IMDb moderator or what?:-D
on August 19, 2009 at 4:30 pm
No, you can update data on IMDb but it takes forever for the employees to review it and upload it.

Those sound more like last names.
on August 19, 2009 at 9:02 pm
You guys are missing the coolest part of the call sheet…
“Cobb continues to explain the logic of dreams and dreamers.”
“Ariadne creates her closed set world. The enter it…”

Ellen Page character Ariadne is a reference to the Minotaur myth.
Ariadne, the daughter of Minos, fell in love with Theseus and helped him navigate the labyrinth, which had a single path to the center.
maybe Leonardo DiCaprio character wants Ariadne to help him out of The Labyrinth.
Joseph Gordon Levitt character Arthur might or might not be a reference to Sir Arthur John Evans. Sir Arthur John Evans is a archaeologist whos famous for unearthing the palace of Knossos also known as “The Labyrinth”.
the other names for the other actors im not sure about but the ones i mention seems close to the theory about the movie

Ted: Yea, I saw that as well. Didn’t mention it on here but I did on slashfilm (I think it was slashfilm).

another thing Cobb is the character from Nolans first film “Following”
on August 20, 2009 at 6:28 am
I think Cobb is just a fake name so people working on set don’t know Leo will be there.
Just like how they call it ‘Oliver’s Arrow’ when everybody knows it is Inception.
Eternalist – I thought a few of the names sounded more like surnames, too.

Cillian Murphy character Fischer also could be a reference to Adrian Fisher without the “C”
Adrian Fisher is internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading maze designers of all time. His mazes can be found in all corners of the globe. he also had a book called “The Art of the Maze”.
Adrian Fisher and Randoll Coate another maze designer and “Labyrinthologist” formed the maze design company called “Minotaur Designs”

Tom Berenger is Very Great actor.
Tom Berenger not deserve little role in this movie.
Tom Berenger deserve Very Good role, from co-protagonist at Di Caprio.
on December 9, 2009 at 10:44 am
Shut up Santos.
on December 10, 2009 at 2:31 am
Speaks in Italian for your courtesy.
Repeat, Tom Berenger is a great actor, in your personal dashboard should have already won 2 Oscars. Tom Berenger is worth double (especially as acting) of sufficient Leonardo Di Caprio. Macheal Caine is very good actor.
The other actors in the cast, they make me laugh.

^ Once again Santos, shut your whore mouth.
